10 Days Southern Circuit Safari, gives you an opportunity to visit four of Tanzania’s southern circuit game parks (Nyerere, Ruaha,Mikumi and Uduzungwa National Parks) the safari will include boat drive experience, walking safari, bird watching and game drives. This tour shall also include visiting the Isimila Stone Age.

  1. Day 1 Dar es Salaam to Nyerere National Park

    Pickup at your hotel Dar es Salaam in the morning with the guide then drive to Nyerere National Park, you will arrive at lunchtime at the lodge and take a short break before leaving for the evening boat drive in Rufiji expects to see hippos, crocodiles, and many birds of different species.

  2. Day 2 Game Drive in Nyerere National Park

    After breakfast you will go for game drive, during game drive, you can see a rich variety of bird species, as well as large numbers of giraffe, buffalo and elephants. You may also be able to spot lions, leopards and African wild dogs. Likely to be seen animals include zebras, hippos, hartebeest, wildebeest, impala, warthog, eland and antelope. You will enjoy your packed lunch and later drive back to your lodge.

  3. Day 3 Transfer to Mikumi

    Earlier in the morning, you will go on a walking safari, Nyerere National Park is also good for walking, the safari will give you an opportunity to make adventure in the wild get to know how nature relates to wildlife with humans as our guide explains every interesting thing that you will approach on your walking trip. You will go back to the camp for breakfast.

    After then you will go for an en-route game drive for great animal sightings including all the great favorites’ lion, elephant, giraffe, buffalo, zebra, and all the other major species like hunting dogs and birds. Later proceed to Mikumi National Park.

  4. Day 4 Mikumi National Park

    You will have a full-day game drive in Mikumi National Park or two half-day game drives. Whilst on safari, you can see a rich variety of bird species, as well as large numbers of giraffes, buffalos, and elephants.

    If you are lucky, you may also be able to spot lions, leopards, and African wild dogs. Likely to be seen animals include zebras, hippos, hartebeests, wildebeests, impalas, warthogs, elands, and antelopes. Several observation towers enable you to overview the park in its entirety.

  5. Day 5 Mikumi to Ruaha National Park.

    After early breakfast you will start driving to Ruaha National park which is the 2nd largest park in Tanzania after Nyerere National Park, Ruaha is home to about one-tenth of the world’s endangered lions some grouped in pride of 30 or more. The park has plenty of plants and animals that will leave you satisfied.

    The Ruaha National Park is also well known for its large population of elephants. Over 500 species of birds have been recorded here and make it a paradise to bird watchers. Most of the birds are residents such as Kingfishers, Hornbills, and Sunbirds but some are migrants from other continents such as Asia, Europe, and within Africa to the region for instance the White Stork. As much as the birds can be spotted all year round, the best season for bird watching is on the wet season.

    Other animals that can easily be spotted in the park include both Greater and Lesser Kudu, lions, cheetahs, leopards, giraffes, elands, zebras, impala, African wild dogs, Jackals, and bat-eared foxes. On the Miombo woodlands, you will easily spot the Sable and Roan antelopes. On arrival, you will start game drive later drive for dinner and overnight at,

  6. Day 6 & 7 Full day Game drive in Ruaha National Park.

    After breakfast from lodge with packed lunch enjoy a full day game drive, nice view of Ruaha river valley, great animals sightings like Kudu, wildebeests, elephants, zebra, lions, hippos, hartebeest, impala, antelope, giraffe, buffalo. Dinner and overnight at,

  7. Day 8 Ruaha/ Isimila Stone Age/ Uduzungwa National Park

    You will depart earlier in the morning at 6 am After breakfast, you will drive to Isimila Stone Age and later drive to Uduzungwa,
    Isimilia Stone Age Site which is 20km from Iringa (40minutes) is the important Isimila stone age site. you will see stone-age tools and wander through an amazing canyon with picturesque limestone pillars. The tour of the site begins at the little museum where a guide gives a brief introduction to the formation of the site and explains more about the fossils and tools that are displayed. The tour then continues into the canyon down a steep footpath. Once there the guide will show you some of the beds where the tools were found and explain how the rock towers were formed. The walk is very scenic, the earth has a warm reddish tint and it is also a good spot to see birds. later enjoy your lunch and proceed driving to Uduzungwa

  8. Day 9 Full day Trekking Uduzungwa National Park

    After breakfast, drive to the park gate and start hiking into the superb primary forest to the base and then the top of the spectacular 180m Sanje Waterfall looking for primates on the way (Iringa Red Colobus and Sanje Mangabey). Swim in plunge pools, see endemic African Violets growing in the spray zones, and have lunch in the forest on the top of the falls. Descend after enjoying superb views.
    Drive back to the camp in the late evening for your hot dinner and spend the night at Udzungwa Forest Camp (Hondo Hondo). Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included.

  9. Day 10 Transfer to Dar es salaam

    End of your southern circuit safari, departure to Dar Es Salaam to connect you with a flight back home. Breakfast and lunch box provided.
